Community Coordinator - Join The Good Business Club Team

The Good Business Club is looking for its next energised team member.

We’re looking for a super-enthusiastic multi-tasker to ‘do the do’ when it comes to the day-to-day activities and getting our message out to the world. Loads of experience isn’t necessary but being proactive, detail-focussed and ready to deliver is a must.

As a small team of experienced self-starters we know the value in working how you want to, when you work best. The part-time, freelance role is fully-remote. We ask that you join us for weekly check-ins and come to the occasional online event as part of our team!

TL;DR - We need someone motivated and purpose-driven to help raise awareness of The Good Business Club, creating landscape-shifting experiences that have a lasting impact for both people and the planet.

Let’s do good business.

What needs doing?

  • Balancing tasks across our member community, communication platforms and event coordination (see why we need someone who can juggle without breaking a sweat?)

  • Efficient use of the systems we have in place, leaning on tried-and-tested processes to maintain a high-value experience for our members and extended audience

  • Scheduling social media activity and outbound communication throughout the year

  • Creating high-quality written and visual content for all of our platforms

  • Ensuring a consistent, branded experience over all of our platforms

  • Suggest solutions to challenges which arise with the contribution of the rest of the team

We use Hootsuite, Hubspot and ActiveCampaign to manage our communication. We also have Veed to create video content for our YouTube channel and beyond, the Squarespace-powered website, and Eventbrite where we host our events. You can find @TheGoodBizClub on Linkedin, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.

What it means for you

This is a part-time engagement on a contracted freelance basis: it is 3-days per week based on a pro-rata salary of £21,060pa. You have a fully-remote, flexible working arrangement to suit your schedule; we want this to work for you as well as for you to do the work with us!

You’ll get to work with two, highly-experienced business owners and entrepreneurs who’re here to support you in getting the job done. There’s also the GBC community who are all, frankly, awesome. We’d hope you learn a lot!

You will work directly with our Community & Communication Manager, check in with the team once a week and join the conversation daily (where possible) on Slack. We respect timely communication so being ‘on’ all the time is not required!

This is a fully-remote role and we find that it requires a level of self-discipline and inner motivation to ride the rollercoaster experience of working in a startup. Sound like a ride you’d like to take?

What we’d love

We’ve put everything into creating a community which goes beyond merely existing to connect people. We are here to support businesses and the individuals within them who want to use their platform as a force for good.

As a contributor to our purpose, any member of our team should:

  • Have an awareness and belief in business as a force for good and want to support businesses in this space

  • Have an understanding of how their contributions will develop GBC and be open to new approaches to achieving our collective goals

  • Lean into change as an opportunity to improve

  • Be willing to take a step back and look at the bigger picture surrounding their work

  • Be willing to look at the metrics and measures what we have available when it comes to decision-making
